Extension to the new plant

The new extension complements the fully automated lubricant production plant installed in 2017. The extension comprises a total of five additional additive tanks, each with a capacity of 50,000 litres, located in the immediate proximity of the fully automated mixing station.

The reason for this lies in the nature of lubricant mixing: many additives are highly viscous and must be heated before being transported through pipes to ensure they flow freely. Long distances would require more energy for heating and complicate the process.

Oel-Brack had already expanded in 2017: at its heart was the new, fully automated lubricant mixing plant, which enables the efficient production of a wide range of oils for a variety of applications. As part of this expansion, around 40 new tanks were installed, the total storage capacity was increased to around 2.5 million litres, and the plant was equipped with over 200 metres of piping and around 140 electronic-pneumatic valves.

This new expansion complements the 2017 facility, increases capacity and makes Midland even more flexible. For domestic and international customers, this means consistent, controlled quality, even faster response times, immediate availability and lubricants that are ready for future technologies.
