With six racing simulators from Racingfuel, the Race Sim Zone at the Westring in Hunzenschwil provides many different fans with a home for their passion since the end of 2021. There are the real racing drivers practising the course. Then there are the e-sports talents of today and tomorrow who are improving their skills. And last but not least, car fans, hobby gamers, groups on a night out or even companies and clubs looking for an entertaining experience for their annual general meeting, seminar or anniversary.

Nadia Brülisauer and her partner Patrick Häusermann are behind the new Race Sim Zone in Hunzenschwil. Both of them are connected to racing, spent a lot of time on race tracks abroad in the past and maintain many contacts in the motorsport scene. With the Covid crisis that made Track Days impossible, their plan to bring a virtual track to life took more and more shape.

For a long time they searched for a suitable location. They found it in the new industrial area in Hunzenschwil, right next to the A1 motorway. It was important to them that it was a new space that they could design from scratch. They created, welded and assembled much of the furniture themselves. It has become a mix of workshop atmosphere and cosiness, where Midland drums fit in perfectly. Finally, on 13 November 2021, they were able to open their realm - their very own Race Sim Zone - in a small circle.

Thanks to Racingfuel simulators, developed and assembled in Switzerland, the Race Sim Zone is one of eight racing centres that have the same technology. This means that racers can compete against each other across several locations, as recently happened in an endurance race in which six teams of two raced in Hunzenschwil against around 40 other participants spread across Switzerland. Each month, three challenges with a Swiss-wide ranking are on the agenda.

Ambitious simulator drivers can also take part in the Swiss Sim Racing Masters. For this, the team in Hunzenschwil also offers specific coaching. There are already eight tracks for hillclimb pilots, including Gurnigel, Oberhallau, St. Ursanne, Arosa Classic and Walzenhausen, which they can practice on the simulator. We at Midland were enthusiastic about the idea of a race track here in Hunzenschwil from the very beginning and supported the project of a local Race Sim Zone. So now one of the six simulators shines in bright Midland red and underlines this commitment.
