Dominik Hilfiker invested over 250 working hours over almost three years in his Kawasaki W800. He completely rebuilt the engine, increasing its output from 48 hp to 72 hp. This required changes to the injection and exhaust system, new engine electronics and much more. With great effort, he reduced the weight from 227 kg to 192 kg.

Dominik Hilfiker took this optimized machine to the Eurospeedway Lausitzring in Germany in September 2023. «Being able to take part in the World Speed Trials, which are being held in Europe for the first time as a small private hobby team from Switzerland, requires a huge amount of knowledge and a bit of madness,» says Dominik Hilfiker: «Thanks to the well-coordinated team and my family behind me, everything went smoothly.»

The World Speed Trials took place under the supervision of the Motorradweltverbands FIM Motorcycle World Federation. As a former sand track and speedway rider, Dominik Hilfiker, Midland sales representative for Solothurn, parts of Aargau and parts of Zurich, had the necessary experience and courage to compete with his Kawa. On his sixth attempt, he made it - and set a new world record of 204.86 km/h in his category.

Dominik Hilfiker has accomplished a dream with this FIM Speed World Record. We congratulate him and are very pleased to have what is probably the fastest lubricant salesman in the world in our team.
