Oel-Brack AG in Hunzenschwil, Aargau, has been producing lubricants for the whole world for many decades. Initially, lubricants were produced under the own brands Perfectol or Lily Oil. Later, the Quaker State and Kendall brands were also produced under license for the whole of Europe in addition to the company's own brands. Since 2004, however, production has concentrated solely on the "Midland - Swiss Quality Oil" own brand and all other brands have been consigned to history.
Many people are familiar with the large Midland oil drum directly on the A1 highway, which has stood conspicuously on the A1 highway in Hunzenschwil since it was rebuilt in 2017. Here you can find out what goes on behind the facades of this barrel every day and how lubricants are produced.
The right recipe is crucial
To produce lubricants, additives (see What do additives in lubricants do?) are mixed with base oils. Midland lubricants are only produced with technologically tested additives and the best quality base oils. Nevertheless, every production of Midland lubricants is subject to strict tests to ensure their effectiveness and consistency. These tests not only ensure compliance with international standards, but also guarantee that customers always receive the best quality products.
