The Swiss Agricultural Contractors’ Association is the central representative for agricultural and municipal service providers in Switzerland. The association represents over 400 Swiss agricultural contractors who use modern machinery to carry out tasks such as sowing, fertilising, harvesting and winter maintenance for farms, local authorities and public institutions.
Midland has been an active partner of the association for many years and supports its members as a competent point of contact for all matters relating to lubricants, greases, technical operating fluids and oil management. Reliability, performance and maximum operational readiness are crucial, particularly in the demanding day-to-day work of contractors.
These businesses, which are often heavily utilised during peak seasons, must be able to rely at all times on their machinery, tractors and specialist vehicles functioning flawlessly even under the toughest conditions – whether during the busy harvest season, during brief weather windows in spring, or when snow and ice require winter maintenance operations.
A number of members of the Contractors’ Association have already
visited Midland and were able to see Switzerland’s most advanced fully automated lubricant plant up close during a tour of the facility. The visitors gained fascinating insights into the development, production, quality control and logistics of modern lubricants, as well as the high quality standards that Midland upholds.
The Midland team actively and regularly engages in personal dialogue with the association’s members. Whether at official events, trade fairs, regional meetings or informal get-togethers – direct contact with contractors enables it to gain a better understanding of their challenges, needs and day-to-day work. This dialogue forms the basis for a long-term partnership on equal terms and for practical solutions that create real added value in daily use.
Contractors and Midland are also linked by their origins. Both are family businesses passed down from generation to generation. The Brack family has been in the lubricants business since 1880, now run by the fourth and fifth generations. The situation is similar for farmers and agricultural contractors.
